Setting Up a Giving Subreddit

November 28th, 2011

I'm setting up a new reddit: r/smartgiving. Before, when I came across other people writing about giving or charity in ways that seem sensible, I would either try to write a whole post around and responding to a link or I would just think "good writing!" and move on. Having a place where I can post links and talk about them with people should be helpful.

I seeded it with some initial posts so people could see what my intent is for it to look like:

I have a longer list that I'm going to try to post one a day from until the subreddit is self-sustaining. If you come across some writing that you think would be a good fit, please submit it. Or, if you don't use reddit, you could send it to me and I'll post it.
